Hi, I’m Sophia, the groomer behind Schampoochie Dog Grooming in Lisburn.

I’ve always had a deep love for animals, which led me to study Animal Care at SERC in Lisburn. During my course, I completed a work placement in a busy, hands-on grooming salon — and that’s where I truly fell in love with the art of dog grooming.

After achieving my Level 2 qualification in Animal Care, I went on to train professionally in a Belfast salon, successfully completing my Level 3 OCN in Dog Grooming. Since then, I’ve continued to grow both technically and creatively as a groomer.

I have developed a particular passion for Asian Fusion–inspired grooming — a beautiful, creative style that focuses on soft, rounded shapes and balanced trims designed to enhance each dog’s natural features. I regularly attend seminars and workshops to continue refining my skills and stay up to date with modern grooming techniques.

At Schampoochie Dog Grooming, I work one-to-one with each dog, creating a calm and gentle grooming experience tailored entirely to their individual needs. I believe grooming should never feel rushed or overwhelming. My priority is always your dog’s comfort, safety, and wellbeing — while ensuring they leave looking their very best.

Every dog in my care is treated with patience, kindness, and attention to detail, as if they were my own.
